CUSTOMER DRIVEN SAFETY IS THE FOCUS FOR WREXHAM WIRE
Premium wire specialist Wrexham Wire has introduced several initiatives in response to a recent customer survey that put safety at the top of requirements from their suppliers.
These include setting up a company-wide health and safety committee with representatives from across the business including engineers, production staff and sales personnel to ensure that a wide range of perspectives are considered.
Wrexham Wire is also working towards ISO 45001, the standard that helps organisations to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions, all over the world.
The company, whose primary markets are supplying premium wire for fasteners for vehicles and construction, is also working towards IATF 16949, the international standard for quality management for the automotive industry.
Operations director Jonathan Chappell says
“While safety has always been pivotal to Wrexham Wire’s success, it’s an ongoing commitment to continually improve and our revitalised focus will benefit our customers and our business.”
Wrexham Wire has firmly established Health & Safety and Environmental policies in place that aim to minimise impacts on the people who work or are affected by the company’s activities and has also achieved ISO 9001 and 14001 Certifications.
